My Father's Song Poem by Sheena Blackhall

My Father's Song

Rating: 5.0

My father's song was a brown trout
Leaping from up from a burn

My father's song could squeeze your heart
Till tears rolled from your eyes

My father stole the throat from a nightingale
And when he sang, dogs skipped along the street
