My Favorite Things Poem by laura bean

My Favorite Things

Windchimes, dancing on a windy morning when no one is around.
My head on your heart beating while I slowly drift off to sleep.
Angels, angels snow angels, White marble angels.
Hiking up white rocks and sitting on the forest moss eating pb &j.
Dreaming of flying like it was an everyday thing.
Daisies cause their white and simple and green.
Cinnamon hearts and salt water taffy.
Wine corks popping, Grandma's lotion and freshly cut wood.
Reving a sports car to 103.
Children laughing. Babies cooing
especially wide eyed babies as you give them a bottle.
Swimming in the cool green lake.
Floating in the ocean.
I like the way the sun feels on my back right before a burn.
Soft musical melodies.
Picking black berries, fishing and poetry.
New socks, a haircut and the stars on a cold clear evening.
Laughing with friends old and new
Thunderstorms and pounding rain while sitting on the porch.
The crash of thunder thrills me with the shock of expecting more.
Deer eating apples from my backyard
Castles on hillsides with dreams hidden in.
Old bluejeans with holes and well worn pockets
Freshly painted kitchens, warm chocolate chip cookies,
Watching old movies, the bubbles in soda, down pillows, new carpet,
Surprises and the love I see in your eyes.
And God's love becauseit is the only thing in this life which will last forever.
