My Feelings For You Remain The Same Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

My Feelings For You Remain The Same

After all that has been said and done,
My feelings for you remain the same.

'Sooo...
That's a relief.
I too have changed.
I am glad you have forgiven me! '

Who is talking about forgiveness?
Didn't I just say...
After all that has been said and done,
My feelings for you remain the same.

You're going to have to do,
Some jumping through some hoops!
Roll over, bark!
And make me a good cup of coffee.
Hop on one leg...
And beg in Chinese!

'But I don't know any Chinese.'

LIES!
We use to have it once a week.
You use to order the 'Goo Goo..
AND the Wonton with the General Tso.
Who do you think you're fooling?
You haven't changed at all.
