The minute I set eyes on you
I fell in love,
Your perfectly rounded body,
Glistening brown eye-lets -
And tongue
Your smooth brown skin
Was comfortable against mine,
You and I were meant to be
You kept me from harms way
Willing to sacrifice yourself,
You kept me company
When I was alone,
Your sole was old
But bright and yellow all the same,
And On those cold wet winter days
You gave me warmth,
You were once my leather boots.

Lovely love poem, well articulated and nicely penned. A beautiful woman who was an oasis of comfort well depicted in the poem. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
