My Heart It Hurts Poem by steven michael pena the black winged angel

My Heart It Hurts

I saw you today again
And turned away with such disdain
For what I saw I did not like
You and him together tonight
I can’t believe what I’m seeing
This punctured heart now begins bleeding
My heart now stops its beat
And now I just can’t move my feet
As I now fall into the deep
Ill forever go to sleep
These tears that fall down from my cheeks
Will dry as fast as you now leave
This heart that you crushed into tiny shards
Will come together with one big scar
To remind not to provoke
The demon inside that has no hope
To be careful of who is near and what they’re worth
Ill hold my chest cause my heart it hurts
Love so young it shouldn’t die
Again betrayal passes by
To stab me once again right here
You’re leaving too many holes in my heart dear
Yet I believed, I trusted you
I feel like such a moronic fool
Alone I cry in this dark cave
Alone again in this dark space
Alone I see my heart now crumbles
With the echoes of sorrowful mumbles
A rose’s thorns are there for a reason
To prick its keeper with its treason
As these flames now begin burning
The hands of fate now begin turning
And your lips so filled with lies
Touch the skin of the despised
These stars that guided me through the night
Will burn out, flicker, out of spite
Swallowed by the darkness here
Spinning round in this thin air
Swallowed up by this black hole
And pushed away from all my goals
Now I lay broken in the dirt
I’m too late, you’re now gone, my heart it hurts
