My Heart May Be Broken Poem by Sulemana Adam

My Heart May Be Broken

So all these were lust?
I dream, you jest
Then cheat, you've lost
My limbs may be frozen
At nine, twice would be risen
Break my pot and give not a reason
Keep on bull, but just for a season
Why should my heart be broken?
Where does broken heart go?
Where?   Why? O no! ! !
Like those two,
I loose not my tool
She shares her food with monkeys
Gone bananas
He makes his meat a dish to vultures
In Bahamas
My heart may be broken
My life will not be taken
Mojo, for you I closed my eyes
Fasten my doors to a banging knock
The laughter, the gesture and the enemies mock
Yet, you sold my life to a laughing stock
Ha! Ha! Ha!

For she opens his palm so wide
A risqué
For he cleans her farm so nice
And plant ricin
Betray my family and follow a junky
At the end, I was made a donkey
A price for things we do for love
Surprise lust may go away
At night, true love will find the day
Clear the trudge and forget the tromps
With real love, pure honey drops
Like how bad weather may try a lake
Again for love I stay awake
