My Heart, My Garden Poem by Anshul Gupta

Deep within my heart there is a garden,
blooming with love, joy and compassion
It soothes my mind and bathes my soul
Its dewy grass relieves my blistering sole.

My visit to this garden
is becoming rarer day by day
I am getting busy securing my future
all the more everyday.

God gifted me with this garden to sow
the seeds of positive emotions and thinking
but I somehow ended up planting
the weeds of negative emotions and thinking.

I won't let weeds destroy my garden
I wow for its security, for I am its warden
I will leave this jungle called world
I know I will have to be bold
I will build my new abode earthen
on the soil of my divine garden
'cause deep within my heart,
I know there is a garden.
