My heart was Unprepared
Hey love drove me to madness
now im alone in sadness
I wanted us to be
but now she wont look at me
now im filled with memories
confused by realities
was she ever really nice
or was her heart cold as ice
I will not cry
because you said goodbye
you never cared
but my heart was unprepared

I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings
Maya Angelou
I can really feel the emotion going into this poem. Of course to me it probably means something totally different than what it meant to you, but I still really like it nonetheless. You should try to translate these emotions into more pictures. You know like when you feel love, then later you recall that feeling you get some picture in your head, so where ever this poem came from, that memory, you should describe it more so I can see how you felt/feel even better. But just like the last comment keep writing! Never stop! There is no such thing as a bad poem, everybody just experiences everything differently so people connect to different things in different ways. Really like it though!
I kinda like this...and great poems are just songs w/out a
guitar accompaniment Keep writing :)
