Everybody knows a hero,
I happen to know two.
From early on, it was so,
And I watched them, as they grew.
My two first sons have been,
What I could never be.
They are the finest of all men,
And they are a part of me.
I look up to them, my two Marines,
They've been the world around.
So many wonders they have seen,
And they're from my little town.
One served his time, then he came home,
The other made it a career.
With my two heroes I have grown,
And the world has less to fear.
