My Last Prayer Poem by Creed Short

My Last Prayer

Rating: 5.0

I can feel the final act coming near
That drum beating louder and louder
I am not afraid anymore, I have not fear
The drum beats faster and faster

I try, but cannot think of the past
There is only the here and now
Time moves so slow, but life so fast
After everything, I am still alive somehow

The drum beats are now deafening
Death is calling my name in the distance
My tears can't stop from flowing
To be without my love is a death sentence

So now I just wait for Death to take me
Take me away from all this despair
Away from all this loneliness, this is my plea
Death is here now, so I say my last prayer
