My Lavender Melody Poem by Laurie Smithson

My Lavender Melody

In field of purple grass
My dreams take flight out through the fields
The song of birds, and bugs, and life
Sing of my Lavender Melody
Thoughts of love and sweet romance
A kiss, wet on my cheek
Like the morning dew at the break of dawn
Breathe out my Lavender Melody
The scent of spring
Like angels breathe
Dance through the violet Meadows
With a smile, a wink, a hand to hold
I embrace my Lavender Melody
A gentle wind surrounds my field
And tiny petals twirl
I fall asleep upon the clouds
Sweet dreams my Lavender Melody
