My Life.. Poem by Dislocated Heart

The truth is,
I'm a simple guy..
looking for love that isn't quite so easy to find.
Luck ain't changing over night..
I guess I'm on my own.. looking for lucky pennies on the side.

Love failed me once again,
Lies and deceiving words..
empty promises and corruption in the world,
has led me to believe..

Happy endings never will happen to me.

I guess I'll have walk this road alone..
with my backpack on..
a flash light in hand,
and boots for when there's glass in the sand.

I ain't turning back..
cuz love is just twisted up lies,
unforgettable scars that I must hide..
and tears yet to be drop.. with my pride held high.

That will be my life.
