My Love Poem by Dan Brown

My Love

Goodnight, my love, and, wherever you are,
please know you’re on my mind
and in spite of the fact you’ve run so far
our lives remain entwined.

I hope you will sleep with me in your dreams
and wake with me in your heart,
for nothing would be as bad as it seems
if we didn’t stay apart.

It’s time for bed; time to turn off the light -
goodbye, my love; goodnight.
