My dearest wife Shima,
My great lover,
Mother of my loving children,
Roses of my garden,
You are my night and you are my day,
The sun does not shine brightly without you,
And the moon does not glow beautifully in your absence.

My sweetheart,
This separation is a great sacrifice,
For greatness will not come without struggle,
However unbearable this loneliness is,
Where our nights are long and cold,
Never will I shed this responsibility,
For I pray the nation to attain elegance through me.

O comforter of my heart,
Bear with me a little time longer,
For I have chosen this life of a candle,
For every night must come a sunrise,
As rivers may dry as seasons change,
But my love to you will forever flow in abundance.
