My Mirror Poem by Stuart Walker

My Mirror

A few years ago
I stopped
turning on the light
in the bathroom
to look in the mirror
to brush my hair
and straighten my tie.
In the classroom
students entered saying,
'Good morning, Mr. Walker.
I'm Aya, front row, right.
'Hello, this is Mayumi, left back.'
Aya touched my hands.
Mayumi brushed dandruff off my lapel.
I felt I'd won a bargain

An interesting poem. Nicely written.
