MY MOTHER ;)

I AM 18 & UNAFRAID TO LIE UPON MY MOTHER BREAST

GENLTY PLACE MY HAND UPON HER CHEST

TO HEAL HER WEARY HEART SO IT WILL RECIEVE MUCH NEEDED REST

FROM BEING SO DEPRESSED

HER WEARINESS NEED TO BE FREED

PREVENTION OF AN INCURABLE DISEASE

THE BASIS OF ALL MY NEEDS

HER SACRIFICES & SHORT COMINGS MAKES ME SO RESOLUTE

A MOTHER'S LOVE IS NEVER DESTITUTE

THE CURRENT OF AFFECTION OVERFLOWING DOWN INTO HER CHILDREN HAND

HANDING HER GIFTS SHE DIDN'T GET A CHANCE TO UTILIZE TO HER KIDS SO THEY WILL TOUCH THE LAND

HER CHILDREN'S MISTAKES MAY BRING HER DISAPPOINTMENT

WHEN I WAS JUDGED OR INJURED YOU WERE MY OINTMENT

ALL THAT WAS EXEMPLIFIED I HAVE LEARNED

WHAT MY MOTHER DO FOR ME WILL BE DONE IN RETURN

Poem of the Day

poet Charles Stuart Calverley

He stood, a worn-out City clerk —
Who'd toil'd, and seen no holiday,
For forty years from dawn to dark —
Alone beside Caermarthen Bay.
