My Nightmare Poem by Chidori Storm

I saw him that night
In the place of the one I loved
Trying to control my body and actions
Trying to destroy my beloved.

I didn’t realize that the person I saw
Was really not my father
But the woman I truly loved
As if I was blind by hatred and fear.

I saw him trying to keep me
From trying to save
The one who was really
The one trying to save me.

I couldn’t see anything but him
I couldn’t see who it really was
Standing there in front of me
Until the end
Of my horrible nightmare.
