You were the only one I wanted to hold me
The only one to rock me to sleep-
Or to fight away the monsters in my dreams
Nobody else could dissolve the darkness in my heart-
Or wipe away the tears that stained my face
I wanted you and only you to be by my side

Those opportunities soon lost-
When you walked out the front gates
When you broke the bonds that held my heart together
You vowed to never come back-
That you never loved me
I wanted to be with you forever
You were suppose to be my one and only love
