I took my time to tell you
The things I had to say
For I realize that it’s certain
Your pain won’t ever go away
But it will subside, my friend
Please trust me this is true
For death has a strange way
Of slowly mellowing out for you
Because God knows your pain
And He really truly cares
He’s always there beside you
Though you feel it isn’t fair
But He will show you very subtly
That you mean so much to Him
At times when you hurt the most
That your life is very grim
As you plant each spring flower
Think of her, because she knows
Your heart always will be with her
And it's so hard to let her go!
A very heartfelt and thoughtful poem you have written Marilyn! Thank you for sharing. Best regards, Friend Thad
