l've been 2 those historic halls
& gazed at d antique walls
l've clearly heard d chanting loud
I witnessed d devotion of d crowd.
D speck of vermillion on many a forehead
& d gorgeous glimpse of splash of red-
D Goddess adorned wid myriad flowers
Incensed 2 unfold d majestic powers.
I was shocked 2 c d sale of enforced votives
By ochre-clad-men wid hidden motives
& then l felt tht d splash of red
Was there in me as a thing inbred
B4 searching 4 light in d distance
Why didnt I c inside 4 d providence?
