My White Knight Poem by Heidi Fiore

My White Knight

I love him.
He’s strong, he’s beautiful, he understands me.
I lie awake at nights, thinking of him.

He loves me too!
He said so himself!
We are going to live happily ever after.

Where is my white knight?
He was here, he said he was.
But now, he’s gone?

He left, but he’ll be back
After all, he loves me, he said so
That doesn’t change.

He loved me, he swore it,
But I guess that faded
He’s off to find a new princess

And there she is and I’m happy for him
Though I break, I want him to love
Maybe he’ll remember he loves me

She broke his heart
How dare she! ! !
Not my white knight! ! !

But he isn’t mine, is he?

The white knight won't come.
He's not going to fight for you.
Your heart will break, and he won't give it back.

You'll just have to grow a new one,
A stronger one, resistant to the stupid knights! ! !
