Mystique Trippers Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Mystique Trippers

Obviously obnoxious.
Blatantly ego driven, self-centered and crude.
Smooth talker although convincingly ignorant.
And,
So rare is the lack of intelligence express...
Words can not be found to define,
The kind of mind one like this possesses.

Mystique trippers,
Secretly proclaim...
They are in the presence of one ordained.
And selected to keep,
Their righteous ideals maintained.
Even though incapable they are to explain,
Why it is someone they follow and obey...
Even embarrasses the evil misdeeds of Lucifer.
Who sits somewhere in the corners of Hell,
Wondering why a picked fool could ruin...
All of their reputations.
While disciples of the devil,
Stand by and watch in astonished amazement...
As to what it is they have allowed,
That seems so powerful...
They have become afraid to recommend,
Anyone to suggest...
Upsetting a monster burning up its own nest.
