Naked Poem by Windsor Guadalupe Jr

Naked

Why did you tell them
Your sophistication
Your intricacies
The cities you have kept
Within your lurid pillars?

Why?
Have you sent into abeyance
The pact
That we have signed
With our blood?
With our breaths,
And our souls?

The world will now know
Their routes around
Your now, flagrant towns
That were once
Clandestine
Veiled in a pristine-fashion
Underneath a stalwart sheathe
Of two bodies igniting,
Two lips whispering,
Two eyes linked
Breaths that sojourn into the
Stillness of the night.

But what did you do?
You told them.
You told them,
And now they all know.

Among the people,
I am not that different
Anymore.
I braved the jagged passes
Of your wry streets -

You revealed everything.
