National Interest Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

National Interest

Who loses and who gains?
We are left in anguish and pain
Our dear ones are lost
At colossal human losses

The rich nations get tested
Their weaponry and lead
Weak nation’s force
With all their powerful sources

The lines are drawn
And we are shown
False dreams and prosperity
Much against the wishes of many countries

Only soldiers die
Population try
To live with fears
As there is so much to bear

World has dream of lasting peace
They are not playing honest broker’s role to ease
The volcanic situation
But add fuel for its continuation

We, the people, must unite
Resolve not to fight
Keep national interest in tact
And show the way in fact
