Nationalism Poem by Rishik DuttaGupta

Nationalism

Is nationalism a religion?
To praise a deity blindly,
Or, to suppress a depression silently?
Or, to remain attached like a gum for machines,
And be a part of some grand instrumentation?
Or, to listen to political prophets,
To bow and abide?

Or, is it freedom?

Many questions on nationalism stirring our thoughts. Your answer in one word freedom also holds many hue of thoughts and aspiration for what we take as nationalism. While love of land binds us emotionally with the phrase nationalism, its application requires us to give enough freedom to peruse our life in a lawful manner. Good poem. Thanks for sharing. And keep, writing.
