Nature Is Life Poem by Tori Godwin

Nature Is Life

My slender feet graze the blades of grass
As my body moves with the wind, forward and back
The humble trees whisper a sweet, melodic song
To let me know I was missed and I've been away for too long
The fresh spring flowers peek out past the weeds
As the crisp green leaves slowly dance with the breeze
The shimmering sun covers my skin with warmth
And I embrace this pleasure as I have done before
I open my eyes and my soul to the vibrant colors
As nature surrounds me as a light sheet cover
I drift off to sleep, protected yet free
For nature is life and always will be
