Another day
Of our Iceland tour
Took us to glacial lagoon
And diamond beech.
Journey is long
On bus in comfort
With waterfalls and
Glaciers on the way.
Volcanic mountains
Stand as guard
Day in and day out
Watching the sea.
Vatnajokull glacier
Melting and receding
Forms a magnificent lagoon
Deep, majestic, and serene.
Jokulsarlon lagoon
Is a beauty indeed
And ride on amphibious boat
Is exciting and exhilarating.
Icebergs float
On lagoon surface
Shaped as striped zebra
Or creatures of imagination.
Beach nearby
Has dark volcanic sand
Crystallized icebergs
Spread like uncut diamonds.
Nature has many
Wonders hidden in it
Man's quest's needed
To explore and appreciate.
