On way back from Tribute to Dilip Chitre
At Prithvi Theatre, Juhu on this April Sunday,
I see near the over-bridge of Santa Cruz,
An abracadabra word, like heroguhue.
Before my mind could come to grips with it,
Another part started suggesting to leave it.
To know everything is no no: what would happen
If all darkness is removed, and only light left?
The many middle positions and combinations
Which define soft and silken strands of subtlety
In the mystery of night would disappear into day,
And the march of stars across black sky will be lost.
