Neighborhood Bible Time Volunteer Poem by RuthNaomi Warren

I’m glad I was a volunteer,
For Neighborhood Bible Time;
I’m sure I learned just as much
As the children I’d call mine.

Being a booster and a teacher
Brought excitement and joy,
You could see this in the eyes,
Of most every girl, and boy.

As the children learned their verses
I, too renewed myself with these;
It gave me a deep satisfaction
As my Lord, I wanted to please.

And when Neighborhood Bible Time
Approaches for another year;
I’ll be waiting for the list,
And add my name, as Volunteer.
