Netherland Moon Poem by Sylvia Frances Chan

Netherland Moon

Rating: 4.9

Netherland moon,
oh what a boring job you show me!

you gaze at me
all that looking and peeping,
what are you staring at?

it makes me redhead!
today you are nothing
not yet perfectly round and brightest,
tomorrow you will slide by again

I'm waiting for you in my backyard
there is no debris there
as elsewhere in Amsterdam or Rotterdam,

here is a lot of fun enjoying,
in my beautiful green garden,
my Netherlands is the cleanest
and most beautiful wonderland,
every month you witness it,
my dear Netherland moon,
see you tomorrow night

I am waiting for you, my brightest full moon
on my beautiful green lawn

Yes, the shape is still not perfectly round, but yet, the Moon is the Moon, not only in the Netherlands but all over the world. By today or tomorrow, the shape will be perfect. Loved your poem, written with a bit of patriotic urge.
