Never Succumbing Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Never Succumbing

It steams this poet when people want to stay cooped up
between four walls not seeing the world or enjoying life,
instead letting despair and depression crawl through them.

Not understanding others who think just because you have
something medically wrong that you have to just lie back,
succumbing to whatever is within you.

Not knowing that is what causes people to give up and just die,
never seeing the joy and wonder in this fantastic world, how
many of their own loved ones died, because they listened to
these nay-sayers.
