New View Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

New View

Suddenly surroundings cause despair
All the things bought and collected
Manifest a long imposingly stare
A suffocating feeling cannot be rejected

Reminders of the years that have vanished
Frozen recollections demand a change
A thaw is necessary to revitalize and nourish
Immediate attention is needed to rearrange

What would improve the stagnant view?
Shuffling stuff challenges the quest…
Is it possible to revive and renew?
Will the result be worth the time invested?

Amazingly enough the endeavor paid off
My mind no longer slides down a sloping trough.
