New Year Poem by Gregory Geismar

New Year

Rating: 2.7

Lonely Christmas’s, a hunger that has an eternal last
A dream of revolution during euel tide passed
A scream, a roar of desperation of every which superficial task
Amongst the throb of eternal bliss
Our silent souls do walk nonchalantly through a field of grey mist
Forget not those who left a lasting impression
A melancholy heart, a distracted complexion
If ignorance is the pinnacle of naive existence
Then send me to pastures new with a new found persistence
Now is the time to shout ‘I am brave, I am me, let me buck the trends that be’
To those who bully, influence and provocate,
A peaceful resolution will come, tyranny but a force of those who control and dictate
A burst, a surge, suddenly a new force of energy has occurred
Power to the people, our day to rise and shine will be the motto not the proverb.
Peace
