Night Poem by Sarvesh Kulkarni

Night

Rating: 4.5

The night haunts me with her burden of words,
weighed down by their own unutterence.
Thoughts form and crumble.
I watch silently, say nothing.
I am a stranger in my own seclusion.

Yet the night nourishes me,
with her starry gaze.
Fills me with hopes of light,
Beyond the barren days.

Lying still in her arms, I realize,
The cruel day begins.
Lightless, listless, longing in vain.

Its time to hide behind myself,
In dried tears, to smile again.

Great imagery; nicely woven feelings. Somehow got similarities with my poems MY DARK NIGHTS & DILETTANTISH HUNGER. Very well penned. 'weighed dwn by their own unutterence' was classic.........10

A nice write, night to some is a time to be yourself, and have no demands on as the day seems to be the ruler of our lives. Well done Sarvesh I enjoy your works.
