Night Headaches Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Night Headaches

Remember before,
We said, "I Do".
There was so much together,
We did to like.
Morning until the Sun would set.
Loving to enjoy,
Our youthful appetites.

And now...
Here we are,
Making each other sick as possible.
Promising to stay forever that way.
Even though the health part of it,
Has long departed.

Slowing done to fade away.
When you began to say,
"Not tonight. I have a headache."
More and more.
Until I began to get them too!
Every Day and night from you.
