Nightmare Poem by Janessa Beitler

Nightmare

Rating: 5.0

Here I lay,
Laying in bed thinking,
I close my eyes and fall asleep,

Here I am,
In a car listening to music,
In the car I look around to see 3 others,
My Mother, Brother, and Father,
We are all laughing,
And then it happened,
A light as bright as the sun apeared,
I quickly closed my eyes,
A loud bang followed it,
I open my eyes,
I feel a sharp pain run through my right arm and a pinch in my right foot,
I continue to look around,
The car was fliped over on to its top,
A fear runs through my mind,
A man came running up to the car,
He asked if any one was alive,
I anwsered,
I was the only one that responed,
He quickly removed me from the car,
I was asking to just leave me,
He just ignored me,
I then began to plead for him to leave me,
He refused,
I asked him why,
Why he just can't leave me,
All I just wanted was to be left with me family,
Sirens were growing louder and louder,
I then fell asleep as the man carried me away,

I awake in a hospital bed,
The man that saved my life entered the room,
He introduced himself to me,
He said his name was Adam,
He then proceeded to tell me my family died in the crash,
All thoughts ran through my mind,
But the main one that stayed was the thought of never seeing my little brother again,
Tears came to my eyes,
I wept and wept,

I awake in a bed,
My little brother was jumping up and down on it,
I could smell my mom's food cooking,
I get up out of my bed and go down stares with my little brother,
We all sat at the table,
Mom, Dad, Brother, and myself,
We all seem so happy,
I was relived that it was just a nightmare.
