Nivedhitha Is A Nice Girl! Poem by Dr.V.K. Kanniappan

I am Nivedhitha, a nice girl of six years old;
I have a sister who is ten years old!

Her name is Madhumitha.
And she is really nice just like me!

I have a friend,
Her name is Dhaneesha!

she is really really bad
And she does not listen to the teacher

and even some of her friends,
And once when everyone was wearing

their coats outside to play
because it was cold outside,

she pulled the hood that was on my coat
when me and my friends were on the train that was outside! .

So in the 45 days holiday,
I thought that when it is time for school,

i will teach her how to be nice.
And once Dhaneesha made my friend Shakiba cry,

because Dhaneesha was really, really mean, rude and bad
to me, Rachel and Shakiba.

And there is another bad girl called Khiana,
Once Khiana pulled Dhaneesha's hair and her jumper

And once my friend Sahara had a skipping rope,
Khiana snatched the skipping rope!

When me and my friends and Dhaneesha
were piling up the rocks and stones,

Khiana messed it all up,
Since she is taller than me,

I don't know if I can teach her
how to be nice!

But may be, I will teach her
another day or time!
