No Bringing Me Down Poem by Hailey Agnew

No Bringing Me Down

You backstabbed me too many times,
I’d trade you in for nickles and dimes.
And now you expect me to help you in your time of need?
Ha, girl please.
You think you can ruin my life,
You couldn’t even if you used a knife.
Tell me something,
Have you even been to Paris, Rome, or London?
Have you ever seen the greater things?
There’s more to life than boyfriends and fake diamond rings.
But you wouldn’t know that,
Your only friend is wack.
You can’t bring me down,
I would rather drown.
I just don’t care,
I used to say life isn’t fair.
But now I don’t play rolls,
I let the real girl show.
You may think I care about your drama,
But I’m stronger now, no more cryin to mama.
If you don’t like who I am,
Cry me a river, cuz there’s no bringin me down.
