No Child Play Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

No Child Play

Poets remain quiet
And reasonably relate
What transpires around?
And how mother earth is happily found?

It is not the imagination alone
But what has gone wrong!
From our side to the world
That needs to be told

Verses are no child's play
It has its own way
To express
And face

People take it not lightly
But come down heavily
With criticism and reaction
We are to the writer of untruth or fiction

I write about human sufferings
Those nights painfully spending
Leaving behind no curses
But working hard of course

Let anyone come and stand
And fully understand
The under current
That passes at present

Clinging to history. Expecting Rembrandt. Dante. Men from a different age. Humans who wrote by candlelight in a slower time. 31 May by honest harriet | Reply
