No Crucial Test Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

No Crucial Test

Rating: 5.0

Why do we harp on unnecessary issues?
When we have no time to review
And think over the plight of normal man
He looks towards sky as helpless human

No one thinks about his need?
About peaceful manner in which he can feed
His family and children
With hard work and happily driven

Let the budget be people's friendly
Or drawn hurriedly
It must take care of poor man in street
Where real ground does not hold his feet

Who these people actually are?
Custodian or marauders
Real workers and sympathizers
Or fame hungry organizers

They are in fact masters
In providing lips service and offer
Sweet future for common people
And then force them to struggle

Not here alone but world over
Where they want safe cover
For holding their selfish interest
With social service as no crucial test
