No Difference Poem by Shel Silverstein

No Difference

Rating: 3.0

Small as a peanut,
Big as a giant,
We're all the same size
When we turn off the light
Rich as a sultan,
Poor as a mite,
We're all worth the same
When we turn off the light.
Red, black or orange,
Yellow or white,
We all look the same
When we turn off the light.
So maybe the way
To make everything right
Is for God to just reach out
And turn off the light!

. After showing the same queen in white and black, I taught the poem “ No Difference.” It was part of our fourth Poem Party for parents and visitors in the auditorium..

To make everything right Is for God to just reach out And turn off the light! The poet has expressed the subject matter candidly and truthfully.

Hello! 18 February 2021

I love this poem because it is saying how no matter what we look like on the outside we 'are all the same when we turn out the light'
