No moment
lasts forever
in the vast intensity of the mind
no shivering hope
falls behind without notice
and if dreams
begin to fade
this is only because
faith and trust
hold hands to cement
your foundation of love
watching your every move
as a challenge to break your bond
and as this night
quivers in absence of the moon
let diyas kindle light
to harness the beauty of bhajans
calming the mind
as each puja
is flavoured with mantras
in my temple courtyard
where Lord Shiva and Parvati
purify your soul
with darshans
as we celebrate
Maha Shivaratri
with delightful purity.
