No More Time Poem by banamala sen

There is no more time to hesitate,
I have waited long enough.
The sky was blue,
The air was crisp,
There were magnificent flowers all around,
Still I hesitated,
Still I didn't say the words I needed to say.
 
Nobody told me to learn from the birds,
Nobody told me to learn from the rivers.
 
At last came the moment -
A little Hummingbird taught me
how to grasp the precious moments of life,
irreplaceable moments!
And not wait for ever!
 
I saw a river flowing to its destination,
I saw how it flows without stopping,
From high mountain-tops meandering through the lands,
With one goal.
I saw the waterfalls falling with a thunder,
Down to the bottom,
with no hesitation!
 
I am not hesitating any more,
I am not questioning,
I am not looking for any approval,
I am Me,
Life has taught me the music of existence,
The music only the birds can bring
For me to unravel.
I tremble with anticipation, I don't hesitate.
