No one Poem by angel lockheart

At night
When I let my guard down,
The tears start to fall
Soft as a whisper
Down my face
And down my neck,
Leaving a silken trail
But never touching my pillow
Because
That would leave
Evidence.
My tears are silent
And my breathing is slow
Because this isn’t new,
This is a repeat of what happens every night
When I wake up from The Dream
And find him not there.
No one to turn to
In the middle of the night
No one to hug
And just hold on tight
No one to whisper
I’m special and loved
No one to see past all my flaws
And still think I’m cute or beautiful
No one to yearn for my kisses
Instead of being disgusted by them
No one to fill this aching empty heart
That has been battered and bruised
No one
To care
