No One Moves Forward Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

No One Moves Forward

No one moves forward,
When the truth is kept...
Under attack.
No one moves forward.
To be held back.

Destroyed is progress.
To want it as it is.
And gone are ideals wished,
Remaining positive.

Too many with agendas.
Content to be contenders.
Against a moving forward,
Kept to keep unchanged.

Less is an attention given,
To what's going on.
Less is an attention given,
To prolong what's wrong.

Too many with agendas.
Content to be contenders.
Against a moving forward,
Kept to keep unchanged.

Destroyed is progress.
To want it as it is.
And gone are ideals wished,
Remaining positive.

No one moves forward.
When the truth remains under attack.
No one moves forward,
When a few are holding many back.
No one moves forward,
To believe a progress comes like that!
No one moves forward.
To claim,
This done to do.
Unchanged.
And...
With an attitude to prove.
That...
No one moves forward.
To claim.
This done to do.
Unchanged.
And...
With an attitude to prove it.
