No Place For Racism Poem by Hebert Logerie

No Place For Racism

We very often hear
There's no place for racism
We quite often hear
Racism is a form of fascism
Imbecility, ignorance
Bigotry and intolerance
Racism is all of the above and more
Racism has no boundary, no shoreline
And no limit. Racism is everywhere
In the school system, in the cemeteries
In the Police precincts, in the presbyteries
In the correctional system, at the fair
And, of course, in the streets. We can longer bear
No place for racism anywhere
No place for fascism in the air and everywhere
We can no longer tolerate this funky smell
Which is poisoning the atmosphere and the well
Racism and hypocrisy go hand in hand
The bigots are sneaky and afraid to stand
Against evilness and absurdities. Racism
Is a cancer, an evil disease. It's a form of terrorism
Let's all unite to eradicate and behead it
Let's educate our children. Let's defeat
Old ideas, which make no sense in today's society
Unfortunately, we cannot change all knuckleheads
A few who will always cause havoc. This is a tragedy
Please stop calling them: white trashes and rednecks
Because they are human too. Black people are not dumb
Non-white people are not stupid. White people aren't dumb
Let's stop the name callings, and be civilized to each other
Racism is everywhere. Racism stinks like fish in the river.
No place for racism
In the presidential palace
And in the workplace
There's no place for racism
Which is a form of fascism.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Yes, it is everything you say and also plain stupid, incomprehensible, illogical, unfair, ludiicrous and totally destructive. It is like being prejudiced against people who eat oranges or wear blue items of clothing or play the piano!
