No Regrets Poem by Cardinal Chang

No Regrets

Here I kneel on this throbbing black metal
I hear footsteps approaching then feel a womens embrace
She smells of the roses i gave her today
I can feel her tears dripping on my shoulder
Each makes my heart grow colder
I can hear her whimpering and a man shouting an order
She leaves and heavier feet approach
A few steel clanks and then a cold chain placed around my neck
The women returns and whispers to me
You'll be my star just like you always are

A crowd roars at the sound of a switch being hit
I feel the chain tighten and lift
I fight to stay grounded as my feet begin to dangle
I think of what life couldve been like
I think of what life shouldve been like

My thoughts are strangled
No last words no last thoughts
Death in its coldest form
I writhe like a worm on a fishook
I try to take the blindfold off to take a last look
Cant feel my toes i try to yell but i cant feel my tongue
Slowly falling into hell
Wrung by Wrung

Pathetic, Worthless, Useless and Young
Dying before a crowd but in my head im alone
