No They Don'T Want Mcdonald's Poem by Francis Duggan

No They Don'T Want Mcdonald's

No they don't want McDonald's in Belgrave
The forest for the birds they fight to save
Their message to McDonalds go elsewhere
We love the hills and for the hills we care.

Some say McDonald's employment create
But they pay their employees at lowest rate
And sack them when they celebrate eighteen
McDonald's love themselves or so 'twould seem.

On this issue Sherbrooke Greens won't keep quiet
And to keep out Mac they are prepared to fight
The conservationists may never live it down
If McDonald's build in Sherbrooke's Premier Town.

The war is on the verbal war of words
To save the mountain forest for the birds
The fight is on to save each bush and tree
And the Greenies don't surrender easily.

McDonald's to the environment a foe
And the Sherbrooke Greenies protest grow and grow
And their message to McDonald's loud and clear
Mac Build elsewhere we do not want you here.

No they don't want McDonald's in Belgrave
And the forest for the birds they fight to save
And their message to McDonald's, go elsewhere
We love the hills and for the hills we care.
