Nocturnal Theater Poem by Enuka Chimezie

Nocturnal Theater

Rating: 4.5

Stones play invisible drums,

While trees dance to the sweet rhythm.

Crickets render shrill hymns,

And bats weave invisible sweaters

In the night sky.

Darkness is thick as Mahogany bark.

Stars and moons combine to make

The sky look like a classic Ivan Titor painting.

Snakes run their silky body through grass,

As they lurk in the dark.

The awesomeness of

This nocturnal theater,

Make me say thank you God for

Enabling me see this night.

An insightful train of thought, well articulated and nicely penned in good diction with conviction. Thanks for sharing Chimezie. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
