Nomad Poem by Missy Anna

Nomad

(Dedicated to my boyfriend who passed away on October 19 2005 of brain tumor)

A desert heart so sore,
Is starving more and more,
As the food it bore,
To the wind it tore,
It wanders for a dip,
And hungers for a sip

O’ to the heat it fails,
No shelter to hail,
Nor bosom to tail,
Dust caress its face,
Sand kisses its lace,
But cloud lose its race

O’ to the cold it benumbs,
Since the day soul flew,
Leaving this heart in blue,
Emptiness fills the pore,
Loneliness fits the fore,
Guilt clogs the core

God, it hurts so true,
This heart shows no hue,
No rhythm it beats,
Like a nomad it weeps,
For the lad it breathes for,
Is nowhere to adore…
